Johnny Wright Auctions, LLC, is owned and operated by Johnny Wright. He is a lifelong resident of Jones County. He and his wife, Ashly, have been married for 30 years and have two children (JT and Lara), one grandson (John Boy), and one granddaughter (Lottie). Raised in the stockyard with his granddaddy, Johnny knew he wanted to be an auctioneer at an early age. After graduating from West Jones High School in 1992, Johnny left to attend the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. Upon completion, he returned to Jones County to fulfill his dream of auctioneering. Johnny attended several Advanced Bidding Seminars from 2015 to 2017, and in 2015 Johnny won the Mississippi State Rookie of the Year Award. He currently does 60  to 80 auctions a year either for himself or as a contract auctioneer and is currently serving as the Vice President of the Mississippi State Auctioneers Association.

Johnny is licensed in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. Johnny Wright is passionate about being an auctioneer, and those who attend his auctions detect and enjoy his enthusiasm. He says, "I just love it . . . the people, the atmosphere, the excitement." He is honest and hard-working. "I believe in building a relationship with a client. It is key for them to have a successful auction, and I want their auction to be fun and exciting for all involved – the client, the workers, and the people attending."  Since starting Johnny Wright Auctions, LLC, Johnny has earned people's trust as the area's "Hometown Auctioneer" and the business has more than doubled.
